Our Mission

Philofrenzy exists because philosophy matters — not as an academic exercise, but as a way of living. We believe that the questions asked by Socrates, Nietzsche, Camus, and countless others are not relics of the past but urgent invitations to examine our own lives.

Our mission is simple: to make philosophical thinking accessible, relevant, and alive. We publish essays that connect classical ideas with contemporary existence, using clear language and a disciplined editorial approach.

What We Believe

  • Depth over volume. We publish fewer pieces, but each one is crafted to leave you with a sharper question — not a quick answer.
  • Clarity is kindness. Complex ideas deserve clear expression. We reject jargon for its own sake.
  • Questions matter more than answers. Philosophy isn't about certainty. It's about learning to sit with uncertainty.
  • The past speaks to the present. Ancient wisdom isn't outdated — it's been waiting for us to catch up.

The Voice Behind Philofrenzy

Philofrenzy was created by someone who found philosophy not in a classroom, but in a crisis. During a period of profound uncertainty — the kind that makes you question everything you thought you knew — I discovered that the philosophers had been there first. They had asked my questions centuries ago, and their attempts at answers became my companions.

I'm not a professional philosopher. I'm a reader, a thinker, and someone who believes that the examined life is the only one worth living. This site is my attempt to share what I've found valuable — not as a teacher, but as a fellow traveler.

I write under the name M. M. — partly for privacy, partly because the ideas matter more than the person behind them.

Our Editorial Process

Every article on Philofrenzy goes through a careful editorial process:

  1. Research: We draw from primary philosophical texts and respected secondary sources. Every claim is grounded in the tradition.
  2. Writing: Articles are written with care for both accuracy and readability. We aim for prose that respects your intelligence while remaining accessible.
  3. Review: Each piece is reviewed for clarity, accuracy, and value. We ask: does this help someone think better?
  4. Curation: Not everything gets published. We select pieces that offer genuine insight, not just content.

A Note on AI

In the spirit of intellectual honesty, we believe in transparency: some of our content is developed with the assistance of AI tools. However, every piece is reviewed, edited, and curated by human judgment. AI helps us explore ideas more efficiently; human editorial oversight ensures quality, accuracy, and genuine value.

We use AI as a tool, not a replacement for thought. The questions we ask, the philosophers we explore, and the connections we draw are guided by human curiosity and care.
